If you are a service provider, PBX developer or maker of a SIPconnect compliant product or service, and you are interested in the SIPconnect Compliant Certification Program, this page provides the information you need. The SIPconnect Compliant Certification Program is a vehicle through which eligible companies can license the use of the SIP Forum's 'SIPconnect Compliant' certification mark. A certification mark is a special kind of mark that asserts a product or service's compliance with a registered standard. The SIPconnect Compliant mark is the official brand of the leading standard for SIP Trunking products and services. When a user sees our mark, they know they have the best chance of interoperability and broad feature support expected from a SIP Trunking product or service. According to the SIPconnect Compliant License Agreement, a SIPconnect Compliant product or service is one that is 100% compliant with all mandatory requirements of the SIPconnect Technical Recommendation. Given our current state of implementation, the SIPconnect Certification Committee is allowing a few exceptions to this requirement, although such exceptions will narrow over time. For a view of which aspects of the standard have the broadest support in current products, please view the consolidated results from our SIPconnect Compliance Survey. The license fee to join the SIPconnect Compliant licensing program is a discounted $2,500 US for SIP Forum Full Members. For non-Full Members it's $7,500 US for companies with less than $100M in annual revenue and $12,500 US for companies above this threshold. As an additional benefit to our active Full Members, they can participate in the program at no charge for the first year of participation. After the first free year, the annual program renewal fee is $2,500 US.
The Steps to Apply are as Follows:
1. Complete and submit the SIPconnect Compliant Application 2. Complete the SIPconnect Compliance Survey for each product you plan to list as SIPconnect Compliant 3. Sign and Submit the SIPconnect License Agreement
Certification Committee members will review applications and return a response form to the applicant with one of the following choices: approved, approval contingent upon confirmation of eligibility, or not approved. Certification Committee members will be given a period of two weeks to return response forms.
