This special panel will discuss emerging regulatory obligations and expanding enforcement activity aimed at shutting down foreign-originated robocalls targeting U.S. consumers.

The focus is increasingly shifting to “international gateways,” i.e., U.S. service providers that accept illegal traffic from foreign carriers.

Moderated by Josh Bercu, VP, Policy and Advocacy, USTelecom. Panelists include Chris Oatway, Associate General Counsel, Verizon; Sheba Chako, Chief Regulatory Counsel, BT in the Americas; and Glenn Richards, Partner and Chair of the Communications Practice Group at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

Part Two: STIR/SHAKEN Implementation for Order Compliance: The Real Deal

Verizon shares its journey toward STIR/SHAKEN Order Compliance in implementation within its network platforms and interconnection with industry partners.

Challenges such as vendor software dependencies, fragmentation, architectural decisions along with lessons learned are a few of what many in the industry are facing.

Enterprise signing present unique challenges that the industry still has work to do.

And analytics of STIR/SHAKEN data can build insights that can be tied to other robocall mitigation efforts.
