8. International Wholesale Voice Hubbing: A Case Study Review

International Wholesale Voice Hubbing: A Case Study Review. Presented by Mike Dell, Metaswitch Networks.

This session provides a case study of a new Wholesale Voice Hub deployed by the International Carrier Sales and Services division of Deutsche Telekom in New York, built on a product suite from Metaswitch Networks. The presentation gives an overview of the voice hubbing business as a whole, and DT’s part of that. We go on to discuss some details of the solution that has been deployed, and focus on some of the technical issues which needed to be addressed, notably some unique requirements for call routing and SIP/SIP-I interworking. We conclude with a look to the future to see how DT and Metaswitch are planning to further develop and expand this implementation.
