6. A Versatile and Scalable Testing Solution to Meeting the Challenges of Testing WebRTC Services.

This presentation will demonstrate how a versatile and scalable testing solution can help network operators and engineers through the whole life cycle of adding WebRTC capability to any size SIP network. We will establish the usefulness of the versatile scalable testing solution by presenting 4 different case studies that include both network operators and NEMs:

1) A test continuously being developed and running against lastest version of WebRTC browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and Opera. The goal is to find out differences from version to version and thus help make corresponding changes in implementations.

2) A MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) who is at the early stage of developing its own OTT (Over the Top) WebRTC application. In this case, the MVNO’s goal for rapid prototyping is achieved with the use of simulation/emulation.

3) A telecom vendor who is in its final sprint to release its WebRTC/IMS gateway to market. This vendor’s goal is achieved through prototype testing, both conformance and load testing.

4) An IMS-based WebRTC service provider who is pursuing to bring reliable service to its customers. This provider’s goal is met using reliability/robustness testing (aka 24/7 monitoring).

In all these use cases this all-in-one testing platform provides a flexible and scalable solution to the operators by having an extensible architecture that handles all forms of telecom testing such as load testing, conformance testing and simulation.
