13. Service Quality Data Is So Yesterday; Why Service Metrics and Analytics are the Future

Presented by Gernot Scheichl, Edgewater Networks

Call quality statics are now captured by endpoint devices during every voice transmission, but then what? Data is great, but applying real intelligence to that information to gain meaningful insights that can be quickly and automatically actioned on is the holy grail. In this presentation, Gernot Scheichl will discuss how the “paper clips and rubber bands” holding together big data repositories needs to be replaced with tools that define call behavior, look for repeatable patterns, identify security holes, stop attacks before they penetrate the network, and bring service metrics and analytics into the mainstream.
