1. Status Report: SIP Forum/i3 Forum FoIP Testing Program Update

This session will provide an update on the joint work conducted by the SIP Forum's FoIP Task Group and the i3 Forum's FoIP Task Group, which joined forces to accelerate the deployment of reliable FoIP in IP-based carrier networks.

Recently, the task group published on both Websites a report on what is called Phase I testing. Although much was learned in 2011, with several recommendations included in the report, the task group concluded that significant additional testing is required to bring commercial-grade FoIP to international tandem-network calls. Phase II testing is now underway.

This presentation will discuss the need for Phase II testing, its objectives, its procedures, and the results to date.
