...and I hope that some day the Asterisk users get serious about  
funding the work needed to fix it.

In fact, Cullen, tests at SIPit indicates that Asterisk SIP support  
after years of hard work has grown much better than what it was a few  
years ago.

(Don't talk to me about the recent addition of TCP and TLS though)
