Yes, that is correct.

By putting the SAME value in the FROM and P-Preferred-ID fields (i.e.
+16789902000 in both fields). 

Alternatively, the PBX could simply use option one for conveying
identity and put +16789902000 in the FROM field (i.e. not use the
P-Preferred-ID field at all.) As stated in the document, option two
should only be used when the PBX wants to implement a shared group
appearance.

By putting "Anonymous" <sip:anonymous at anonymous.invalid> in the FROM
field. This, along with the privacy=id header field should satisfy the
requirement.

I agree that we need to investigate this area in more detail. Question:
do you (and the other list members) think this needs to be a section
that is finalized before we publish the first version of the spec, or is
this something we can get done in the next release?
