Arjun and everyone,

Unfortunately I was on the road yesterday and was not able to make this
call.

Was Joe's ToC sent out to the list? I don't think I received it; can it
be sent again?

Thanks,

Mark

Subject: [Smartgrid] Minutes of meeting - Nov 12 2009

Participants:

Rich Shockey - SIPForum

Marc Robbins - SIPForum

Joe DiAdamo - Siemens Enterprise

Shidan Gouran - HomeJini

Sanjay Sinha - Cisco

Bill Leslie - Longboard

Arjun Roychowdhury - Hughes Systique

Points of Discussion:

1.	Rich introduced the group formally, talked about goals and
objectives
2.	discussion on current activities:

	1.	we are closely tracking/participating in 6lowapp. Focus
of this group is not yet concretely defined - but looks like this group
will split one several subgroups with different charters. The charter of
the CORE group may be for very restrictive devices (no one there has
clearly been able to articulate what these devices are and their
expected growth in the market compared to more powerful devices. Also,
no one has yet presented a clear modeling on how constrained #s have
been arrived at)
	2.	Our current understanding is that SIP should definitely
be positioned at the CoGII (at the least) and smart devices that are
more capable than the 12/24k memory devices.
	3.	Joe sent out the ToC of the SIP whitepaper this group
needs to author. We are doing an internal review on layout and will send
the ToC out to the group by Friday this week for inputs
	4.	There was discussion on the various standards/industry
orgs. that are defining usecases and protocols for the SG ecosystem.
Shidan will send out a consolidated list of the same

3.	An initial draft matrix of the applicability of SIP in various
'service areas' of SG has been created - currently under internal review
- will be posted to the group soon. This matrix will give a birds eye
view of the areas we will be diving into more detail.
