Shidan, post our call today, I just read through OpenADR-2008-R2 and its
attachment C & D (http://openadr.lbl.gov/docs.html)

Basically, to me, the entire operations between the DRAS, utlilty and
participant actors converge to one big subscribe/notify/publish event
package that fits dead-on to RFC 3265. Its latency requirements (1 minute
max delay between utility to end user) is a non issue. Furthermore, the
concept of participants forming groups (for group notifications) etc. fit
very well into the existing SIP model. As does the security requirements

I did notice that SOAP and WebServices have been sighted as examples, but
openADR keeps the protocol choice open. Can anyone comment on what are the
real protocols in deployment today in the D&R space? It is HTTP ? If so, how
are they doing async notifications ? Is it via proprietary web services apis
?
