Dear Kimberley

As a Media Partner for our NGN conference, I would be happy for SIPForum to
have a representative on one of our panel discussions. The panel discussions
at the event are as follows:

Conference Day One at 11.15 - "PANEL: Migration strategies – how and when
to migrate to Next Generation Networks"

Conference Day Two at 2.00 - "PANEL: Identifying the services that are
driving Next Generation Network deployment".

If either of these are of interest, do let me know by Friday at 12.00, as I
am signing off the brochure then!

Many thanks

Best regards

Laura Marshall

  Hi Kim,

Thanks for working together with us on the wVoIP Forum. I will be in
touch as to how we will progress with that. We actually have another event
that we think would be great to work together on again.

Osney Media are holding the Next Generation Networks Forum, 5-7 June 2006
and would be interested in working together with you as partners in a
marketing agreement to promote this event. Below is an outline of the event
and a contra proposal and attached is the draft programme for the event.

Traditional telephony revenues are migrating to VoIP, high-speed broadband
growth continues to increase on ever-faster wireless networks, alternative
access technologies are emerging, such as WiMAX, IPTV and video on demand
are hotly anticipated. Basically, everything is converging on IP.

Industry players have a number of concerns at the moment including:

a.. Migration strategies: how to deploy NGNs parallel to legacy systems
and how and when to migrate to NGN. What are the drivers and catalysts for
migration?
b.. Cost and Business Case - NGNs are supposed to reduce OPEX, which is
one of the reasons for deploying them (the other being new services enabled,
hence increase in ARPU). But service providers need to know if this is
really the case.
c.. What new services will be enabled? Who will use them? How does this
affect service providers’ position in the market? How will these services
make money?
d.. There are regulatory issues – particularly with VoIP (its not
regulated yet – should it be, how etc). There are also concerns about
streamlining regulation for voice, data and video and reducing the
complexity of it so that regulations apply to converged communications as a
whole.
The format for this event is different to standard events as we put much
more emphasis on networking and discussion. The delegates are seated at
round tables of 6-8 and each has a selected facilitator. We keep
presentations limited to 15-25 mins and after each the issues raised are
discussed at the individual tables before the facilitator feeds back the
tables' views for a more general discussion. This way, our delegates get
much more from the event.

We expect 60-80 delegates from the Fixed and mobile operators as well as
vendors and altnets with job titles including Heads of Next Generation
Networks, Heads of Convergence, Heads of Marketing Strategy for NGN and Head
of R&D for NGN. (I have a more comprehensive list of titles to be selected)
They will be pay £1399 + VAT to attend.

I am currently in negotiation with the following organisations to market
the event to their membership/readership:   TelecomWeb; Juniper Research;
WI-Fi Technology Forum; SIP Centre; ICU Forum; Mobile Europe; FierceIPTV;
Next Generation Networks Initiative; Moriana Group; IPV6 Forum; Network
World; Telecom Redux; Total Telecommunications and many more..........

  Kind regards
