SIPNOC US 2012 is a special event for operational personnel from service providers of all stripes, including:

Specifically, SIPNOC has been developed for the technical and operational staff of service providers, including network architects and engineers.

The SIPNOC Program Committee ensures that the SIPNOC US 2012 agenda is built by a panel of operational experts and presented in a setting that will encourage the meaningful exchange of day-to-day operational experiences.

The program committee will review workshop topic proposals and position statements, principally from service providers, and the resulting discussions will focus on implementation experiences and best practices relating to deploying SIP in the network.

Below is a preliminary "Quick-Glance" truncated Schedule of Events which lists the start and end times of the main conference events. Please note that the exact timing of various networking events and conference sessions have not yet been locked down and may change as the agenda is more fully developed. A final schedule of events, with firm dates and times, will be posted approximately one month prior to the start of the event.

The SIP Forum has negotiated a nicely discounted room rate of $169/night at the four-star Hyatt Dulles Hotel. This rate includes in-room WiFi Internet access!

SIPNOC is being developed as an educational conference for technologists and engineers within the operator community to share ideas, experiences (both good and bad) and best practices in a private setting. As a result, the SIP Forum has decided not to issue credentials for media and analysts to attend the conference, and as a result SIPNOC conference sessions will be closed to media and analysts.

It is our hope that our SIPNOC conferees will appreciate this decision, and that our friends in the press and analyst community -- those that have supported the SIP Forum with their coverage of our activities over the years -- will understand the rationale that went into making this decision.
