Note to Editors IMS, a comprehensive services architecture standardized by the 3GPP, gives operators a common service environment and incorporates IP, SIP, application servers, home subscriber servers and multimedia resource functions. IMS also allows operators to move up the value chain by allowing intelligent content delivery enabled by service and subscriber awareness. Service providers will implement IMS for numerous applications, taking advantage of the subscriber's presence and availability profile to monetize applications such as multimedia messaging, mobile conferencing, push-to-talk, customized infotainment and more.
