Flextronics SIP Stack and Toolkit Print E-mail

A value-added offering, FSS' SIP User Agent (UA) Toolkit reduces time-to-market for OEMs. Built over FSS' SIP Stack, the Toolkit handles SIP functionality through its SIP Call State Machine. The SIP Call State Machine handles message state validations, form responses, and performs SDP media-matching. In this manner, the SIP Call State Machine abstracts application developers from implementing all nuances of SIP to build a complete application.

FSS' SIP UA Toolkit provides application developers with simple and abstracted call-level APIs to facilitate faster development of innovative SIP applications. The Toolkit brings with it FSS' assured interoperability with other vendors' solutions to secure management of all SIP signaling.

FSS' SIP UA Toolkit has the following two versions:

  • The SIP Core UA Toolkit
  • The MicroSIP UA Toolkit

The SIP Core UA Toolkit contains the Core SIP Stack, which has the widest implementation of various RFCs. The SIP Core UA Toolkit is a generic toolkit element over which devices, such as Softswitches, Gateways, Application Servers, and Softphones can be developed.

FSS' MicroSIP User Agent Toolkit contains the Micro SIP Stack, which is a highly optimized, low footprint product, which facilitates rapid application development for low footprint/memory devices, such as Handsets, PDAs, Mobile-phones, and Smart-phone devices.

FSS' SIP Core UA Toolkit and MicroSIP UA Toolkit are also available as an integrated package with FSS' SIGCOMP stack. This option can be used for developing any IMS component, on client as well as network sides.
